Volunteer

Calling all Volunteers! Calgary’s 25th Annual Ho-Down & Slo-Down is coming up and we’re looking for a couple volunteers to help out our Site Coordinators. Ultimate experience not required!

We're looking for shifts of 8:30 - 11:30am, 11:30am - 3:00pm and/or 3:00pm to end of games.  Or any combination or part-there of.

Positions we're looking to fill at both our Glenmore Athletic Park (GAP) and Calgary Rugby Union (CRU) locations include

- Disc Central (Saturday and Sunday) - These volunteers will be responsible for maintaining a supply of field food to hungry Ultimate players, refilling water at their location, and taking in game scores.

- Field Setup/Takedown (Saturday and Sunday) - We are looking for teams or players willing to arrive a little early in the morning to help setup fields (cones, recycling & garbage bags) and to help tidy up and takdown fields at the end of the day.

- Supply Runners (Saturday & Sunday) - Runners will assist the site coordinator in the running and refilling of water to keep our players hydrated!  They also might be called upon to help our site coordinators sound soft cap and hard cap air horns at each time slot.

- General  Volunteers/Support Staff (Saturday & Sunday) - Volunteers willing to help out wherever we may need a hand, be it taking in scores from the fields themselves to helping setup for Saturday evening's festivities.

We are looking for volunteers willing to help out in a wide range of time slots between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm (Saturday) and 9:00am - 4:00pm (Sunday).

Volunteers and potential volunteers with any questions can email Cindy at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Should you be unable to help out yourself (e.g. playing in the tourney or otherwise) and can think of anyone that might be interested in helping out, please ass this information along!
